OK I realize I'm posting this a day late, but close enough. I've been reading a couple food blogs, and Bakerella has some really cute ideas. I tried making the red velvet cake balls, and they came out terrible. I used Duncan Hines mix and frosting. I don't know what it was, but they just tasted chalky or something. I'm guessing it's the red food coloring since I know it can leave a bad taste. Well, I ended up throwing the whole batch out. I just couldn't have people eat them. I've had them in chocolate, and they were great so I'll just try them again sometime in a flavor other than red velvet.
Anyway, since I know I like the Oreo truffles, I stuck with that. And I think they came out really cute...
