I like the recipe on the Baker's Unsweetened Chocolate box when I don't make them from the Betty Crocker box (which I usually do). There's something about the added texture the granulated sugar gives them that I really like. I just stirred in some Nutella after I mixed up the batter, but I'm not really sure exactly how much I used since I just finished off the jar, about 1/2 cup? They had a subtle Nutella flavor but probably could have used some more. They came out ridiculously fudgy though. I suppose I could have kept them in a little longer, but I really like brownies this way.
Nutella Brownies
adapted from Baker's ONE BOWL Brownies
4 squares BAKER'S Unsweetened Baking Chocolate
3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour
1/2-1 cup Nutella
optional: (I don't opt for them)
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
2 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, melted
Microwave unsweetened chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
Stir in sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add flour and pecans; stir until well blended. (This is where I'd mix in the Nutella) Spread into greased foil-lined 13x9-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. Do not overbake. Cool in pan. Lift out of pan onto cutting board. Cut into 24 squares. Drizzle each square with melted semi-sweet chocolate, if desired. Let stand until set.
